HE WAS hilarious to watch.... He liked playing Maude Frickert.... a sweet old lady that was quick- witted and sharp- tongued.  It is reported that he
suffered a couple of nervous breakdowns back in the day and voluntarily institutionalized himself.

He often put his ordeals in his material for laughs.

ROGER EBERT - the end of an era!  His partner GENE SISKEL died in 1999 from a brain tumor.  Ebert battled cancer a couple times and died last week.  Read his story here.

ANNETTE FUNICELLO has died at 70. She was one of my favorites.... "Beach Blanket Bingo".... never knew what that title meant, just loved the young people having fun, the beaches we didn't have here, etc.
