AND SO TODAY, A LETTER WAS SENT TO ME BY A LISTENER WHO COULD NOT OR WOULD NOT CHIME IN ON THE SEGMENT "REALITY REWIND" ON AM940 WYLD
(This segment rehashes what happened on the show)
Jesus traveled with entourage of 12. Of course Bishop McClendon wasn’t called with an entourage, but I’ve visited and fellowshipped at various ministries and noticed many pastors/evangelists have those who accompany them when ministering who are familiar with their expectations while flowing and/or ministering. If someone is ministering the word or operating in prophetic and have unskilled and/or untrained laborers to aid them especially in large gatherings it can affect the way they minister.
Bishop McClendon’s reaction was due to Haddon’s actions of disrespect, being argumentative and combative. “Remember the scripture, “a soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger”. The host of the “man cave” asked Bishop McClendon to answer the question but Hadden jumped in while McClendon was attempting to complete his response. He was right to not stay to argue and/or defend the word.
MY LETTER IN RESPONSE........ WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS?
First, let me say, the discussion is not meant for email but for the airwaves. Nevertheless, let me share with you the way I see it since I have
received your POV. I totally thank God for Bishop Clarence McClendon as I thank God for my Bishop. But, unfortunately, none of us are always right and what we put out is not always the way it is received! Flesh pollutes what the spirit in us wills to do.
Deitrick’s tone was too intense for any man’s ego to have handled well without praying first. He MUST work on that!!! I do not condone Bishop CM’s disrespect of Deitrick by stating that he is not as smart as he thought he was.............. and “son” could have been taken as a condescending word and was.
I agree Jesus did have 12, however, Jesus went forth without pomp and circumstance. He did not need to burden anyone with taking care of his entourage.... actually no monetary provisions were REQUIRED as in today’s world! I am not against monetary provisions!!!!
I am against it being a requirement set for so many. The WORD says Jesus sent them out 2 by 2 (MARK 6:7)................ but 4, or 5 or more ................ is that really bible?
There were times Jesus traveled with 2 or 3..... and times he may have been found alone. When he changed the water into wine, his first miracle, he did not need an entourage for his anointing to flow --- (which point Deitrick Haddon eluded to with the Bishop CM).
I understand having people to flow with you --- agree with that, but don’t depend on that!
So entourage or not, we were sent Matthew 28:19, 20. An entourage should never stand between any of us and the ministry that God has called us to do. And finally, I applaud Bishop CM’s decision to walk away.... It’s a facet of real life and with your walk and mine, some things we will just NOT agree upon.
