HOW FAR WOULD YOU GO TO BE ACCEPTED?
It has been noted for years people lose their own identity to become what they believe others wish for them to be. To walk alone for these people, is NOT an option. There is a sadness that go along with this type of perspective and it is directly connected with their lack of knowledge of how unique and beautiful God made them.
How far would some go? They would go as far as living with a man who abuses them one moment, living for that next moment when he confesses his undying love for them. How far would some go? They would go as far as being lied to, cheated on by a woman who would at pillow talk tell them they are the best ever.
How far would some go to be in a clique they believe to be the bomb dot com? We would be surprised perhaps that these people bear gifts to be like, loved, or accepted. They spend their bill money to make sure their clique friends are happy; they shun their own family members or they allow abusive conversations toward them or their loved ones - just to be accepted.
These could be very intelligent people, but co-dependent or of low self-esteem. These people represent a large portion of today's society and just need to be strengthened enough to draw some boundaries and have more self-respect.
God says we are all fearfully and wonderfully made! His word tells us we are the head and not the tail. He tells us if we abide in Him, He would abide in us. He would make our names great and bring us before great people.... but we must go farther than we would with the clique for HIM because He requires preeminence in our lives.
Why go farther for man who cannot make you better than for God who will blow your mind with what He can and will add to you? Psalm 139:14; Proverbs 18:16; Genesis 12:3
