Scriptural Focus Today: 2 Cor 5:17

Still reading "And When You Pray"

Began reading this book this week, but Prayer Journal Begins Today

Today, I prayed for my spiritual growth and for my leaders.  I thank God for the opportunity to pray with a sister in bereavement and uplift her. 

Now to the book that blesses me by Bishop Clarence E. McClendon

#1 "I teach our congregation all the time that
      they need to learn how to get alone with God
      until they are no longer alone."   (McClendon)

#2 A wise man once said to me, "Son, always
     remember, you know just as much about God
     as the last time you heard Him speak to you."

#3"And you will seek Me and find Me, when you
     search for me with all your heart" (Jer 29:13)

#4 "If my Father knows what I have ned of (and
     Jesus says that He does), then my time of 
     prayer is not to inform Him about my situation.
     Rather, it is to get me into position to hear
