The Drop-In Center for homeless youth at 1461 N. Claiborne. This program has been making a huge difference in the lives of our young people, giving them a safe space to get the services they need. Despite having deeply limited funding, the group manages to serve hundreds of our most-at-risk children and teenagers. If you're interested in seeing how we can best care for those who most need it, I strongly recommend you visit and see this phenomenal organization in action.
When asked what they needed to expand their capacity, they gave a simple answer: furniture. Without places for more young people to be able to sit and interact, the Center can't reach everyone they need to. If you have any of the following items, new or used, and want to donate them to a worthy place, please consider the Center. Right now their needs are:
non-fabric love seat or chair
If you or anyone you know have any of these available for donation to the Center, please reach out to their Senior Program coordinator, Elizabeth Jones, at email@example.com or at 504-988-6578.
